The FCC’s failure to relax ownership rules could prompt radio and TV stations to favor investment in unregulated platforms to distribute their content, the National Association of Broadcasters said in a hard-hitting June 6 filing at the FCC. The NAB warned that the FCC could see broadcasters go the way of the ailing newspaper industry if they are held back by regulation to achieve the kind of scale needed to compete with Big Tech.
