NewsCheckMedia Names Luis Manuel Ochoa VP Sales

The successful B-to-B sales, marketing and publishing executive will lead revenue generation for TVNewsCheck.com, its companion newsletters and premium events and webinars.

Luis Manuel Ochoa, a veteran digital publishing, sales, advertising and television executive, has joined NewsCheckMedia LLC as vice president of sales, effective June 21.

Ochoa, who recently was Mexico/Latin America sales rep for several business-to-business titles owned by Crain Communications, and ICP International Publications, previously worked as group publisher and international sales director at B2B Portales Inc. There, he successfully restructured the company’s international sales team to include Mexico, Brazil, the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. He also relaunched the company’s digital publishing efforts, redesigning portals and significantly increasing digital revenue.

Earlier in his career, Ochoa worked in product marketing for Phillip Morris Venezuela, where he was involved in six major product launches before moving to WarnerLambert and later, advertising agencies ETC Publicidad/DMBB Venezuela, and McCann Erickson.  From there, he moved into television, launching successful regional television stations in San Cristobal, Barquisimeto and Puerto La Cruz.
