OTT Revenue Pioneers Join Summit
Local broadcast executives who made early strides in OTT monetization will share their strategies at TVNewsCheck’s OTT News Summit at the Microsoft Conference Center in New York.
Dave Francois, managing director of OTT and product strategy at The E.W. Scripps Co.; Anthony Katsur, SVP digital strategy at Nexstar Media Group; Erin Overstreet, director of digital sales at Gray Television; and Alan Blackburn, director of sales at KSL-TV Salt Lake City will discuss their experiences in “Monetizing OTT: Ad Sales and Subscriptions” on June 11 at 4:15 p.m.
The panelists will share their progress in building and training a direct sales force for OTT; talking to advertisers about the new platform’s advantages; the prospects for programmatic sales; and the introduction of subscription sales into the OTT revenue mix.
“Monetization is the existential dynamic hanging over the whole OTT ecosystem,” said Michael Depp, TVNewsCheck special projects editor. “Alan at KSL has one of the platform’s longest and most granular revenue track records; Dave at E.W. Scripps is an early mover in building a direct sales force; Erin is experimenting with scale at SBTV; and Tony is behind a bold new subscription play at Nexstar’s KRON.”
TVNewsCheck’s OTT News Summit will explore all elements of the OTT value chain for news organizations. Sessions will cover news content; back-end technology; product design and user experience; measurement; discovery; ad tech and monetization. It aims to empower news organizations to frame and refine their deployment strategies on OTT, a rapidly expanding platform essential to reaching audiences, especially younger viewers.
The Summit is presented in conjunction with Sports Video Group.
