Sinclair Taps Cory Culleton To Lead Mobile, Pensacola Duos

The Sinclair management veteran will run WEAR and WFGX in Pensacola, Fla., and also oversee WPMI-WJTC in Mobile, Ala.

Sinclair Broadcast Group today appointed Culleton has been named vice president-general manager of WEAR (ABC) and WFGX (MNT) in Pensacola, Fla., and he will also be responsible for oversight of providing services to WPMI (NBC) and WJTC (independent) Mobile, Ala.

Culleton has held several executive leadership positions at Sinclair, most recently he served as VP-GM with oversight of providing of services to WGFL-WNBW in Gainesville, Fla.

Previous roles include VP-GM of WTGS Savannah, Ga.; WGXA Macon, Ga.; and general sales manager at WGFL-WNBW-WMYG-WYME Gainesville.

Rob Weisbord, Sinclair’s chief operating officer and president of broadcast said: “With over 20 years of experience in television, digital strategies and advertising sales, Cory has a long history of success throughout his career, and we are excited to have him lead the stations in Mobile/Pensacola.”

Culleton holds a Bachelor of Science in communications from Liberty University.
