Sinclair Ups Susan Walther To GM In Portland, ME
Sinclair Broadcast Group on Wednesday promoted Susan Walther from general sales manager to general manager of its CBS affiliate WGME Portland, Maine (DMA 84). She will also be responsible for the oversight of Sinclair’s provision of services to Fox affiliate WPFO under a joint sales agreement.
The announcement was made by Steve Marks, EVP-COO of Sinclair’s television group. In making the announcement, Marks said: “Susan is no stranger to the Portland, Maine market. She has been with Sinclair in Portland for almost 20 years. Her long history in television sales and deep connection to the community make her a great leader for our stations.”
Walther has been with Sinclair Broadcast Group for 19 years, serving as WGME general sales manager for the past nine. Over the past 30 years, she has held various sales and management positions in the market.
Walther holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications/business from the University of New Hampshire.
