After less than a week since Ozy Media was exposed for inflating numbers and potential fraud, the media venture is shutting down.

Natalie Morales told staffers on Friday that she plans to leave NBC News for an unspecified new opportunity. Morales will continue to appear on Dateline through the rest of the year and will have a farewell on Today in the coming weeks. Morales has been with the network for 22 years.

The AT&T-owned satellite operator says it offers “other, more popular” financial news networks. Bloomberg was also dropped from DirecTV Stream and Uverse.

In this role, she will serve as the dedicated lead anchor for the newscast’s digital video content, including anchoring pre-and post-shows and hosting breaking news live streams for PBS NewsHour.

Fox News’ newly renovated Washington bureau, including a new newsroom, updated TV studios, a radio studio dedicated to the late Fox News Sunday host Tony Snow and a new greenroom dedicated to the late Fox News commentator Charles Krauthammer, were all unveiled Thursday ahead of the network’s 25th anniversary next Thursday, Oct. 7.

Univision Communications has tapped Luis Felipe Godinez, the news director of its station in Sacramento, Calif., to lead the news operation of its WGBO Chicago.

Katie Couric spares few from criticism in her new memoir, which she uses to settle scores from her four decades in TV. Couric tears into ex-boyfriends, former colleagues at NBC and CBS and ridicules A-list celebrities including Prince Harry. In Going There, Couric admits that she gave Ashleigh Banfield the cold shoulder early in her career because helping her would have been “self sabotage.”

Former BBC News anchor and correspondent Katty Kay, who had just joined Ozy Media in late June, has announced her exit following the recent controversy swirling around revelations of the digital company’s practices. “Yesterday morning I handed in my resignation to Ozy Media,” Kay wrote on Twitter. “I was looking forward to working with the talented young reporters but I did not expect this!”

The eight ABC Owned Television Stations premiered Our America Equity Report in local newscasts on Sept. 28. The report tracks and measures racial equity across 100 of the largest U.S. cities. ABC’s data journalism team, led by Director of Data Journalism John Kelly, analyzed more than 10 million data points across five quality-of-life categories: policing, housing, education, health and environment.
