Library Of American Broadcasting Foundation & Benztown Unveil Details Of On-Demand Radio & Podcast Webinar Series

The Library of American Broadcasting Foundation (LABF) has released details about the new on-demand “LABF Radio & Podcast Power Session” Webinar Series.

Created by Benztown President and LABF Board Member Dave Chachi Denes with support from the Broadcast Education Association and the University of Maryland, the three-part online educational webinar series playlist features media industry leaders discussing a variety of topics focused on radio and podcasting.

Playlist topics include:

  • Programming with legendary programming consultant Mike McVay
  • Syndication with creator and host of Sunday Night Slow Jams, R Dub!
  • Promotion and marketing insight with Benztown Marketing Director Susan Aksu-Magarian
  • Sales career advice from Beasley Media Group Chief Revenue Officer Tina Murley
  • Creative branding strategies with the founder of Yamanair, Yaman Coskun
  • Commercial production with West Coast director of commercial production for Benztown, Darren Silva, and the East Coast Director of Commercial Production MJ Bloch
  • Podcasting with head of production for Spotify’s Podcast Division Ron Shapiro
  • Imaging with Thomas Green
  • Composition with Shane Drasin
  • Behind the scenes of owning a station with Emmis CEO Jeff Smulyan.

In addition, University of Maryland’s Mass Media & Culture/Special Collection Reference Specialist Mike Henry will share historic broadcasting moments that are featured in the Library of American Broadcasting.
