Caitlyn Becker Joins NewsNation As A National Correspondent

Nexstar’s cable news network NewsNation is adding Caitlyn Becker as a national correspondent. She will begin her new role on Saturday, Jan. 27, reporting across the network’s programming.

“As we continue to expand our news coverage throughout the week, we will look to increase our roster of talent, including correspondents like Caitlyn,” said Michael Corn, NewsNation president of news. “With over a decade of experience in a variety of positions within the news business, she has proven to be a dynamite reporter and we look forward to her coming aboard NewsNation.”

Most recently, Becker was a Los Angeles based correspondent and senior reporter for The Daily Mail where she covered breaking news, entertainment, crime and politics. She was also integral in growing the brand’s social media presence on TikTok through her extensive true crime coverage.

From 2018 to 2023, she hosted a daily segment for KTLA Los Angeles reviewing the biggest news stories of the day.

Prior to The Daily Mail,  Becker served in various roles at The Blast, Yahoo and The Huffington Post. During the 2012 presidential election, she created content for MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, Now with Alex Wagner and The Daily Rundown.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

She started her career as a news assistant at NY1 where she covered major news events such as Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the United States and President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential election campaign.

Becker is an Emmy-winning journalist and Webby Award-winning digital host.

She attended American University in Washington D.C., earning a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in justice, law and society.
