Carlos Moreno Joins MundoNow As Senior Executive Producer

MundoNow, a minority bilingual and bicultural digital media platform, has named Carlos Moreno senior executive producer.

In addition to his coverage of breaking news that affects the Hispanic community, Moreno will also spearhead content creation around two platform verticals: MundoMejor, an original series of inspirational stories that focus on the good in this world, and MundoPride, an LGBTQ+ bilingual news and culture portal that will focus on Latino stories centered on living life proud. He will be based in Denver, where he will monitor stories and news from across the U.S.

Moreno rejoins the ranks of MundoNow’s digital network, having previously worked as a national correspondent for Mundo Hispanico from 2016 to 2019. MundoNow recently rebranded to serve the rapidly growing U.S. Latino population that identifies as Spanish-dominant, bilingual, bicultural or English-language preferred, and is seeking culturally-focused content that reflects the entirety of the Latino community.

With a decade of media experience, Venezuelan-born Moreno is an established and decorated reporter and producer. In his most recent role at Entravision, he led a number of initiatives, including reporter for Univision Colorado, backup anchor for the Kansas market, and collaborator for Noticiero Univision national news, the morning news program Despierta America, and the evening news program Primer Impacto.

Moreno launched his U.S. journalism career through digital reporting for the Nuevo Georgia newspaper, before joining the Telemundo Atlanta team as a reporter.

In addition to his national reporting presence, Moreno has excelled with his own independent digital reporting channel “Carlos Moreno Reporta”, which streams on multiple platforms to thousands of fans spanning across the Western U.S. Moreno has garnered over 10 Emmy Awards, including “Best Live Reporter” with Univision, Telemundo, and his own digital media platform.
