KCCI Focuses On Local Elections With ‘Commitment 2022’ Coverage

Hearst Television CBS affiliate KCCI Des Moines, Iowa, is preparing voters in central Iowa with voter-focused content branded as Commitment 2022. This special coverage encompasses debates, candidate profiles, advertising truth tests and reporting on important issues.

KCCI’s Eric Hanson and Stacey Horst will co-moderate KCCI Commitment 2022: Iowa 3rd District Congressional Debate between Rep. Cindy Axne and Republican challenger Zach Nunn. Additionally, KCCI will host a debate between candidates for Iowa’s Attorney General, incumbent Tom Miller and Republican challenger Brenna Bird, on Sunday at 4 p.m. moderated by KCCI’s Amanda Rooker and James Stratton.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m., KCCI will air a debate for Iowa’s Second Congressional District between Rep. Ashley Hinson and Democratic challenger Liz Mathis. KCCI anchor Alyx Sacks will co-moderate along with journalists from partners KCRG and KWQC.
