Kristen Skovira Joins WCPO Cincinnati Anchor Desk

Scripps-owned ABC affiliate WCPO Cincinnati is kicking off the new year with a new member for its weekday morning news team. Veteran journalist Kristen Skovira will join Adrian Whitsett at the anchor desk of Good Morning Tri-State starting Wednesday, Jan. 11. Skovira joins WCPO from Scripps sister station, KIVI Boise, Idaho.

Skovira, an anchor, reporter and host as well as a multimedia journalist, has a career that has taken her across the country to stations in Cheyenne, Wyo.; Ft. Myers, Fla.; Denver; and Nashville.   Along the way, she was recognized with two Emmy nominations.

Raised in Colorado, Skovira watched her mom forecast the weather for KWGN Denver and developed a passion for news and media early in her life. She followed that drive to Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in Orange, Calif., graduated and joined Walt Disney Studios’ national publicity department where she helped organize Hollywood red-carpets, press junkets, and premieres.
