Law&Crime Network To Air Gavel-To-Gavel Coverage Of Trial In Shooting Death Of Ahmaud Arbery

Beginning on Monday, Oct. 18, legal and true crime network Law&Crime will provide gavel-to-gavel coverage of the trial of three men accused of murdering jogger Ahmaud Arbery.

Live coverage will begin with jury selection and will continue until the ultimate verdict in what is expected to be a three-week trial. Attorney Brian Buckmire, who hosts the syndicated daily magazine Law&Crime Daily, will be on the ground at the Glynn County Courthouse in Brunswick, Ga., to deliver live reports.

The case sparked nationwide outrage following the release of the shocking video which showed Arbery, who is Black, being shot three times while jogging in the Satilla Shores neighborhood. On trial are father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael, who are accused of killing Arbery with a shotgun, and William Bryan, who recorded it.

The men claim they were partaking in a citizen’s arrest after mistakenly believing Arbery had stolen from a construction site. The shooting prompted the Georgia legislature to repeal the state’s citizen arrest law.

“We have seen the protests, the video and the outrage over this case, and now Law&Crime will take you inside the courtroom so the American public can see firsthand how our justice system works,” said Law&Crime President Rachel Stockman. “Our team of experienced analysts, former prosecutors, defense attorneys and experts will provide much needed context and perspective so viewers can better understand what is transpiring in court.”
