Luis Apodaca Joins News Team At KASA Albuquerque

KASA Albuquerque, N.M. (Telemundo Nuevo México) has added Luis Apodaca as a multimedia journalist. Apodaca joins anchors Alejandro Contreras and Mayra Aguilar, meteorologist Adrián Miró and reporter Sergio Guerrero. His first day on-air was Thursday, Sept. 21.

“Having Luis as part of our team reinforces the commitment we have to our community to bring them the best information, with the best resources,” said Edgardo Sanabria, KASA News Director. “He knows first-hand the needs of our community and will be a key player in the growth of our newscast.”

Prior to joining KASA, Apodaca spent four years at KLUZ Albuquerque, first as production assistant and then multimedia journalist. His media experience also includes time at KOB Albuquerque where he was part of the floor crew.

Apodaca earned a degree in communications in 2021 from Central New Mexico Community College.
