Scripps News, the national news network owned by E.W. Scripps, is adding to its coverage by partnering with additional national media organizations and nonprofits. The partnerships, it says, will allow Scripps News to provide additional reporting and expertise to a wide range of topics.

“The addition of these partnerships will allow Scripps News to enrich our linear and digital coverage of the issues impacting the everyday lives of Americans — from the economy and politics, to travel and sports,” said Brian Donlon, Scripps News’ senior director of live news. “Scripps News offers depth and variety, and each of these partner brands are leaders in coverage of their sectors.”

Morning Brew is a collection of engaging, talent-forward content brands that make the topics of business, work, money and beyond more personal. Scripps News and Morning Brew collaborations will air during Morning Rush, which airs weekdays 7 a.m.-noon ET.

Nonpartisan, independent and nonprofit, OpenSecrets is a research group tracking money in U.S. politics and its effect on elections and public policy. Scripps News and OpenSecrets will partner on coverage across all of Scripps News’ programs.

Skift is a news source for travel executives. Skift’s award-winning team of journalists provides pivotal media insights on key travel sectors — with marketers, strategists and technologists top of mind. It defines global travel trends through a combination of news, research, conferences, exclusive interviews, strategic sector-focused newsletters and more. Scripps News and Skift will collaborate on stories airing during Morning Rush and Main & Wall. Main & Wall airs weekdays at 4 p.m. ET.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

SportsGrid is a multimedia content and technology company providing digital solutions for the convergence of sports content, gaming and NextGen interactive video technology. Scripps News and SportsGrid will collaborate on coverage airing primarily during Scripps News Weekend, which airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. (all times Eastern), and Main & Wall.

WorkingNation is a nonprofit media organization telling stories about the future of work and solutions to the job skills gap disrupting the economy. WorkingNation emphasizes that lifelong learning and adaptable skill sets are the cornerstones of sustainable careers and educates employers about underutilized talent that can be trained to tackle labor shortages. WorkingNation and Scripps news will partner on stories airing during Morning Rush, Main & Wall and Scripps News Tonight, which airs weekdays at 8-10 p.m. ET.

Scripps News announced in January it was partnering with Politico for a new original series that brings together the award-winning reporting from both national news organizations to cover the 2024 election and the issues that voters will face at the polls. Featuring correspondents from Scripps and Politico, The Race – Weekend breaks down the biggest political headlines with context and an independent analysis. Politico has a roster of journalists dedicated solely to politics and policy in the world.
