WESH Orlando Adds Meteorologist Marquise Meda
Hearst Television’s NBC affiliate WESH Orlando, Fla., has hired meteorologist Marquise Meda for its First Warning Weather Team starting on Sunday, July 23, at 6 p.m.. Prior to joining WESH, Meda worked as a meteorologist for the Weather Channel and Local Now in Atlanta.
“Marquise brings a wealth of experience covering all types of severe weather; he will be a great addition to our First Warning Weather Team,” said Stephanie Linton, WESH news director.
A veteran, Meda, who holds a master’s degree in atmospheric science from the University of Massachusetts, served as a combat weather forecaster in the United States Air Force.
He started in local news as a meteorologist and reporter at WNCT Greenville, N.C. While there, he covered Hurricanes Florence, Dorian and Humberto.
Meda will join the WESH 2 First Warning Weather Team of Chief Meteorologist Tony Mainolfi, Kellianne Klass, Cam Tran and Eric Burris, and deliver the weather on weekends for WESH 2 News at 6:00 p.m., 11 p.m., and at 10 p.m. on sister station WKCF.
