More Morning News On Tap From WCAV Charlottesville

Lockwood Broadcast Group’s CBS affiliate WCAV Charlottesville, Va., is adding more morning news beginning Sept. 20. On that day, Good Morning Charlottesville will expand, starting at 4:30 a.m.

In addition, the station’s morning news team will also launch GMC on Fox Virginia live from 7 to 9 a.m. on its Fox Virginia subchannel.  

The expanded morning news will be anchored by Bo Sykes and Kathryn Young. Meteorologist AJ Willy will keep Central Virginia viewers updated on the weather and track any changes that might impact their day. Reporter Miranda Mahmud will share unique local stories and help keep viewers up to date on the latest breaking overnight news.

The expansion means WCAB will now produce 47 hours of news per week.

Good Morning Charlottesville will also grow its footprint on co-owned WVAW Charlottesville with a simulcast from 4:30 to 7am beginning Sept. 20 as well.

Maybe they can tell the truth of what happened a few years ago with the riots ..Never received it from the vapid network news!!!
