CBN News Channel Expands To Xfinity Cable In 25 States And DC

The CBN News Channel, a 24-hour news channel from a Christian perspective, is now available on Xfinity cable systems reaching 25 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., reaching morel than 7.5 million cable subscribers. The announcement was made today by Gordon Robertson, CEO of The Christian Broadcasting Network.

The CBN News Channel is now airing in dozens of markets in regions including:

  • Comcast Big South (Atlanta, Charleston, Chattanooga, Huntsville, Knoxville, Jackson, Little Rock, Memphis, Mobile, Nashville and others)
  • Comcast Houston
  • Comcast West (including Albuquerque, Denver, Boulder, Pueblo, Sacramento, Salt Lake, Tucson and more)
  • Comcast Northeast (including Boston, Hartford, Vermont, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Scranton, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Charlottesville and Washington.

Along with the addition of the Xfinity cable channels and the corresponding Xfinity app for those markets, the CBN News Channel may also be viewed on a number of additional platforms, including over-the-air via stations in 13 major markets, the CBN News App (iOS and Android), streamed at CBNNews.com (web/tablet/mobile), at WatchCBNNews.com (web/tablet/mobile), the CBN News YouTube channel (web/tablet/mobile), and streaming via the CBN News App (AppleTV, Roku, Amazon Fire and elsewhere).

Launched in 2018, the CBN News Channel features a mix of live and breaking news coverage from the network’s Washington bureau, Virginia Beach headquarters and other locations. The news airs each morning via CBN Newswatch (10 a.m. ET), which is updated hourly. A host of CBN original programming is also in rotation, including:

  • Faith Nation– CBN News anchors Jenna Browder and John Jessup cover the intersection of faith and politics from Washington, D.C., and introduce viewers to prominent national figures from both sides of the political aisle. (6:00 p.m. ET, M-F)

  • Studio 5– Telly Award-winning entertainment and lifestyle television magazine exploring the intersection of celebrity, popular culture, and faith. Host Efrem Graham conducts in-depth interviews with men and women at the forefront of the film, music, and sports industries.
  • Prayer Link– Connecting the daily news headlines to the power of prayer. Hosted by CBN News anchors Charlene Aaron and Wendy Griffith.
  • Global Lane –Weekly 30-minute program that examines current topics and provides insightful analysis for key events in the United States and around the world. Hosted by CBN News International News Director and Sr. International Correspondent Gary Lane.
  • Miracle Living Today— Hosts Gordon Robertson and Ashley Key discuss the spiritual laws revealed in the Bible that can allow viewers to experience God’s power in their life today.

Additionally, the CBN News Channel will broadcast each day’s episodes of the network’s flagship program, The 700 Club, as well as 700 Club Interactive. Those two programs will also remain on the Freeform cable network.
