WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Jeopardy’ Wins Overall, While ‘Sherri’ Leads The Rookies

The game show takes top honors with a 5.0 in the week ending Sept. 25, while Sherri topped the freshmen pack with a steady 0.7.

Jeopardy inched up 2% to a 5.0 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and took the overall syndication lead for a second straight week in the session ending Sept. 25, again squeaking by Family Feud’s firm 4.8.

In rookie action, game show newcomer Pictionary with host Jerry O’Connell was the strongest percentage gainer among the new programs, growing 25% in its second week to a 0.5.

Sherri led the rookie pack with a steady 0.7, followed closely by fellow talker Jennifer Hudson, which was one of several shows, including Sherri, running up against powerful competition from coverage of Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral and was hit with a 14% loss to a 0.6 in its second week. However, Hudson still far outperformed the show it mainly replaced, Nick Cannon, by triple digits.

Also in talk, Karamo, hosted by Queer Eye star Karamo Brown, hit the airwaves and clocked a premiere week 0.3.

Returning talkers were led by Live with Kelly and Ryan, which shot up 7% to a 1.5 and was No. 1 in the category for an 18th consecutive week, including ties.

Dr. Phil was also sharp, spiking 8% to a 1.4.
