New Season, Changes To NBC’s ‘Access’ Franchise

All Access to premiere in select NBC-owned markets Sept. 9. Access Hollywood to go live beginning this fall. Kicking off its 10th season this fall, Access Live will change its name to Access Daily.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 9, veteran entertainment news show Access Hollywood will be extending its brand and adding new half-hour series All Access to its roster. The show will take an in-depth look into the national headlines to uncover the extraordinary real-life drama occurring in everyday places and exploring compelling true crime and uplifting human interest stories.

Hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans and correspondent Sibley Scoles, All Access is set to air on six NBC-owned stations: WNBC New York; KNBC Los Angeles; WCAU Philadelphia; KNTV San Francisco; WTVJ Miami; and WVIT Hartford, Conn., at 7:30 p.m. Access Hollywood will move to 7 p.m. in these markets.

Access Hollywood will also launch its 24th season on Sept. 9 and will be broadcasting live to the East Coast. “With the rapidly evolving entertainment news cycle, we strive to bring our viewers the most up-to-date headlines and going live will achieve that,” said Maureen FitzPatrick, the senior executive producer of Access Hollywood, All Access and Access Daily. “We will be able to advance the stories in real time as news breaks.”

All three shows will begin incorporating new creative elements across the overall Access brand:

  • New logos, graphics and theme music that will reflect a more modern feel.
  • A state-of-the-art set with a stage surrounded by a 100 ft. x 12 ft. LED screen that will showcase iconic, high-definition images to bring the magic of Hollywood closer to viewers at home.
  • Exclusive segments broadcasted from the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

Access HollywoodCurrently in its 23rd season, it is a nationally syndicated, Emmy Award-nominated, daily, half-hour entertainment news program. In its upcoming 24th season, the show will go live to the East Coast with Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover and Scott Evans as hosts and Sibley Scoles as correspondent. The show takes viewers behind the velvet ropes and on to the red carpet to deliver the hottest celebrity interviews and the biggest entertainment news stories in Hollywood.

All Access — Debuting this fall, All Access is a 30-minute show hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans with Sibley Scoles as correspondent. The series digs deeper into the national headlines to uncover the extraordinary real-life drama occurring in everyday places and exploring compelling true crime and uplifting human interest stories. All Access will air live at 7:30 p.m. on the East Coast following Access Hollywood as it keeps viewers informed of breaking news in real time. The show is set to air on NBC-owned stations in New York (WNBC), Los Angeles (KNBC), Philadelphia (WCAU), San Francisco Bay Area (KNTV), Miami (WTVJ) and Hartford (WVIT).

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Access Daily — Kicking off its 10th season this fall, Access Live will change its name to Access Daily. The show will cater to the daytime audience by covering daily hot topics. Viewers will remain updated on all things pop culture with the show’s in-studio celebrity interviews and informative lifestyle segments. The one-hour syndicated entertainment news and lifestyle show will be hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover and Scott Evans.

All three shows tape from the Terrace Studios, adjacent to the Universal Studios lot, in Universal City, Calif., and are distributed by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
Both Access Hollywood and All Access will be executive produced by FitzPatrick, Stewart Bailey (Last Call with Carson Daly,) and 23-year Access veteran Mike Marson, who was recently promoted to executive producer. Cara Petry and Sharon Spaeth have been promoted to supervising producers and Claudia Eaton will continue as senior producer.

For Access Daily, Julie Cooper (FABLife, Wife Swap, American Pickers) has joined as executive producer and Alyson DiFranco (Steve) has joined as supervising producer. Jennifer Dixon has been promoted to supervising producer and FitzPatrick serves as senior executive producer and Claudia Eaton as senior producer.
