Lippin Group Restructures; Creates Office Of The Chairman

The new office will develop future growth strategies and oversee day-to-day operations and comprises (l-r) Matt Biscuiti, Kevin Broderick and Katie Fuchs, all managing directors.

The Lippin Group — a  communications consultancy specializing in entertainment, media and technology — has created a new management structure. The announcement was made today by Dick Lippin, chairman and CEO.

He has established an Office of the chairman composed of Matt Biscuiti, Kevin Broderick and Katie Fuchs, three long-serving senior executives of the firm. Each will hold the title of managing director — new positions at the company — and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the business and developing new business growth strategies, including exploring partnership opportunities.

They will continue to maintain all client account responsibilities and will report directly to Mr. Lippin, with Broderick based in the company’s Los Angeles headquarters, and Biscuiti and Fuchs leading The Lippin Group’s New York office.

Lippin said: “Katie, Kevin and Matt each have a wealth of talent and experience that they will leverage to build upon the agency’s legacy to serve our current clients, find new business opportunities, and develop the next generation of our team. All have been with the agency for more than a decade, during which they have shown significant growth in their careers, developed a deep understanding of the industry, and established strong relationships with clients, press and staff alike.

“Through two industry strikes and a global pandemic, we were forced to spend a lot of time determining the best model for our company moving forward. We have not only had success despite these challenges, but also seen our business activity increase significantly to the point where today we are operating at an extremely high level and adding more staff while extending our expertise in growing areas such as podcasting, FAST and AI. This new structure will allow me to concentrate on strategic issues, including our TLG Connect consulting practice, while placing everyday business activities in very capable hands.”

He added: “Despite belt-tightening and staff cuts happening particularly at the bigger corporations, the value of marketing has never been more evident, especially as content production ramps up after an extended pause, and streamers, networks — and the advertisers supporting them — look to maximize their audiences. As our clients know, strategic communications, when done correctly, is a marketing discipline with very strong ROI. I am very optimistic about the value of our counsel, and the future of our company and the industries in which we work.”

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Biscuiti, Broderick and Fuchs will also work closely with longtime senior executives — all of whom have been with Lippin for 15 years or more and have played an integral role in the growth of the company and its strong reputation in the industry — across its corporate communications, consumer public relations, and TLG Connect consulting practices in Los Angeles, New York and London. They include Jim Benson (president, corporate communications, West Coast), Pam Golum (president, global entertainment), Debbie Lawrence (managing director of the company’s London office), Jeanne O’Keefe (senior vice president), Jennifer Price (president, television and events), Shelly Saarela (CFO) and Alex Uliantzeff (senior vice president).

Matt Biscuiti joined The Lippin Group in 2004. For more than two decades, he has specialized in providing corporate communications counsel to businesses of all sizes — from technology start-ups to premier, established entertainment and media companies — both in the U.S. and internationally. He has played a significant role in supporting communications and thought leadership strategies for television networks, streaming channels, content studios, advertising agencies, associations, conferences, events, and digital platforms — including in comedy, music and sports. Prior to Lippin, he was a senior account executive at GolinHarris. He began his career at technology firm TSI Communications and then its spin-off agency, Mindstorm.

Katie Fuchs joined The Lippin Group in 2011. Part of the New York team, she is responsible for developing and implementing consumer public relations strategies for U.S. and international entertainment companies. She created and leads Lippin’s growing division focused on the podcast and audio industry. Additionally, she plays a key role in supporting clients’ productions and events.

Kevin Broderick joined The Lippin Group in 2011 and is based in Los Angeles. He has executed successful, strategic media relations and thought leadership campaigns for clients across streaming video, podcasting, technology, industry associations, festivals and conferences. Additionally, he is part of the company’s TLG Connect practice, focused on consulting with companies around the world, that are outside of the traditional entertainment and media industries, about their Hollywood-facing business strategies.
