Bitmovin And Nomad Media Team Up With The Recording Academy Again To Deliver Video Streams For 2024 Grammys

Bitmovin, a provider of video streaming infrastructure, announces that the Recording Academy will once again use the Bitmovin Player to deploy and launch content to its global community of music fans for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on Sun, Feb. 4, airing live on CBS and streaming live and on-demand on Paramount+ at 8-11:30 p.m. ET.

The Bitmovin Player will be integrated with Nomad Media’s CMS to live stream the glitz and glam of the annual event that celebrates the best and brightest talent from across the music industry. This is the second year in a row that Bitmovin and Nomad Media will support the live stream of the Grammy Awards.

Ray Starck, vice president of digital strategy at the Recording Academy, said: “The Grammys are an annual celebration of the music industry, spotlighting everyone from household names to up-and-coming, genre-bending talent, so it’s essential we have a powerful and reliable solution that can deliver a flawless viewing experience. We first worked with Bitmovin and Nomad Media for the 2023 Grammy Awards, and their solution provided an excellent viewing experience for our audience, so it was an easy decision to work with them again.”

The Bitmovin Player “empowers the Recording Academy to deliver high-quality streams to the broadest range of devices and guarantees playback quality on any screen through modular architecture, including low latency and configurable adaptive bitrate streaming, which ensures a smooth and seamless viewing experience for audiences, regardless of their location,” the company said.

Stefan Lederer, Bitmovin CEO and co-founder, said: “The Grammy Awards is the biggest event in the music industry’s calendar, celebrating artists and music professionals across all genres and disciplines, and we are ecstatic to be working with Nomad Media and the Recording Academy once again to live-stream it to music lovers.

“The Bitmovin Player will ensure the Recording Academy can maximize its audience reach by delivering streams to the broadest range of devices, providing flawless playback to millions of viewers.”
