Dielectric Promotes Nicole Starrett To Director of Electrical Engineering

Dielectric has appointed Nicole Starrett director of electrical engineering, effective immediately. In her new role, she will direct a team of engineers and technicians and manage coordination between Dielectric’s Antenna and RF Systems departments to ensure that all electrical engineering design needs are met. Nicole reports to Vice President of Engineering John Schadler.

Starrett has been with Dielectric for nine years, starting as an electrical engineer in May 2014 upon graduation from University of Maine, Orono. She has since played an instrumental role in transitioning the company to more efficient design and production processes. Her implementation of modernized, software-based antenna design has accelerated production schedules from weeks to days and increased operational efficiencies — both of which paid dividends through the busy spectrum repack period.

Starrett is also responsible for some of Dielectric’s most recent cutting-edge innovations, including the original  work and modeling for Dielectric’s new broadband pylon antenna. She was active in the simulation and development of two unique Dielectric products — the DCRU high-power multi-station FM antenna and the APT panel TV antenna with its unusual, variable vertical component. All three innovations help Dielectric remain competitive and forward-looking in a rapidly changing industry.

“Nicole has proven her capabilities over the years to design solutions that directly benefit our customers as well as a healthy bottom line for the company,” Schadler says. “We look forward to Nicole’s contributions in a well-deserved role that applies her talents across a broader set of management and engineering responsibilities.”
