MetaBroadcast Adds Andy Johnston As CTO

MetaBroadcast, a metadata management specialist for broadcasters, streamers and pay TV operators, has expanded its executive leadership team with the announcement of Andy Johnston as its chief technology officer.

Johnston has joined to accelerate the next phase of development for Atlas, MetaBroadcast’s cloud-native active data management platform. Metadata said its management “is recognized as a key factor in attracting and retaining subscribers by broadcast and streaming providers, Andy will leverage his 20-plus years in building, scaling and managing software platform development to lead the next phase of technology innovation.”

MetaBroadcast has also added Mark Thompson as a non-executive director. He “brings knowledge from a proven track record in business development, company turnaround and international growth. In particular, his experience with private equity backed businesses and his focus on creating value for stakeholders will help guide MetaBroadcast through its next stage of expansion,” the company said.
