NAB Show: Phabrix To Show Off Advanced Test & Measurement Tech

At the NAB Show in Las Vegas (April 14-17), Phabrix, a designer and manufacturer of test and measurement devices, will be demonstrating solutions suitable for all broadcast and media applications, whether on-set, studio production, post-production, broadcast QC, or for in-house video technology manufacturing facilities.

For live environments demanding a high level of portability, handheld instruments that are robust, lightweight and compact are vital. AT NAB, Phabrix will be demonstrating the Sx Series; instruments that offer “exceptional operational flexibility and advanced capabilities including hybrid IP/SDI performance and physical layer testing.”

The ZEN Series of rasterizers and waveform monitors offer creative visualization, analysis and high quality monitoring tools ideal for advanced post production and production environments, including simultaneous HDR/SDR 2K/3G/HD-SDI analysis. At NAB, it will be demonstrating a host of new features, including 3D LUT import for HDR to SDR and SDR to HDR conversion, SDR Full Range Display and the addition of ARRI and RED camera tools to our Cinezone realtime false color exposure display.

With the implementation of ST 2110 Media over IP infrastructure, technical support staff are being forced to carry more and more equipment, allowing them to analyze both traditional SDI signals and SMPTE 2110 IP signals. Both the LV5600 / LV7600 and Qx Series support both SDI and SMPTE 2110 signal generation and analysis, allowing engineers to quickly identify any potential issues and carry about the necessary adjustments, without affecting the broadcast output.

Phabrix will be demonstrating its advanced EUHD option, available on our QxL rasterizer and QxP portable waveform monitor at NAB, supported by 7thSense’s R-Series 10 Media Server.

The EUHD option supports UHD and 4K HFR extended video formats in ST 2110 — workflows that are now increasingly popular for video walls and other applications involving the use of advanced media processing.

It will also show “all the features R&D and manufacturing teams require during their vital product development testing and ongoing manufacturing compliance testing. Our solutions offer fast 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI physical layer commissioning, advanced SDI stress testing as well as tools for SMPTE compliance testing.”
