Shotoku Names Jim Travers Robotics Support Engineer

Shotoku USAShotoku Broadcast Systems’ North American operation, has expanded the U.S. team with the appointment of Jim Travers as robotics support engineer.

Travers will provide remote and on-site robotics support and will perform installation and commissioning services for Shotoku’s North American customer base. Shotoku is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality, easy-to-use, robust and reliable robotic and manual camera support systems found in broadcast studios, financial institutions and legislative bodies around the globe.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Travers is a skilled, experienced broadcast engineer, proficient in both the technology and operations that support an efficiently run studio. He has held key operations and engineering roles at several U.S. news networks and large market affiliates where he has won multiple awards. His wide experience includes design and management of multi-million-dollar studio renovations and responsibility for engineering and IT teams within busy newsrooms.
