A quartet of broadcast TV’s top executives will survey a landscape reshaped by streaming, regulatory uncertainty and the ongoing need to find new monetization channels at TV2025: Monetizing the Future, a virtual conference presented by TVNewsCheck on Sept. 22-23.

Jordan Wertlieb, president of Hearst Television; Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations; and Pat LaPlatney, president and co-CEO of Gray Television, will join TVNewsCheck Editor Michael Depp for Station Group Leaders on the State of the Industry, a panel discussion at 2 p.m. ET on Sept. 23.

The wide-ranging conversation will tackle the advertising landscape; subscription and digital revenue streams; the network-affiliate relationship; station trading; regulation; their growing news operations; and how local TV is building a business in the world of streaming.

“As we slowly climb out of the pandemic, Jordan, Jack and Pat will take the industry’s measure on the other side of it, assessing the most significant challenges they’re facing and how stations are prepared to meet them,” Depp said. “We’ll take a probing look at streaming’s crucial role in that, along with the business prospects of NextGen TV and important developments in advertising.”

TV2025’s other panels include Data, Technology and Optimizing Spot TV, NextGen TV2025 and A C-Suiter’s Guide to Capitalizing on the Cloud, along with the presentation of TVNewsCheck’s Station Group of the Year and an interview with its chief executive and a roundtable discussion wrapping up the event.
