ABC O&O’s Tap Tish Graham As Tech VP

The long-time ABC exec will take over Dave Converse's tech slot when he retires in December from the ABC Owned Television Station Group.

Veteran ABC Owned TV executive Tish Graham has been named vice president, broadcast technology for the ABC Owned Television Station Group. The announcement was made today by Rebecca Campbell, President of the ABC Owned Television Station Group, to whom she will report. Graham will take the position vacated by Dave Converse when he retires in December after 31 years with the company.

“We are very lucky to have a deep bench of talented executives, and Tish’s wide range of responsibilities at four of our stations make her uniquely qualified for this position,” said Campbell. “As multi-platform content creators, our continued business success depends on a robust and reliable network environment, and Tish is well qualified to lead that effort.”

In her 29 years with the ABC Owned TV Station Group, Graham has held positions at four of the eight ABC owned stations; most recently at the ABC’s KTRK Houston.  At KTRK, she led the engineering/IT department as VP of broadcast technology, a position she has held for the past four years.  During her tenure, she managed the transition of the ABC OTV Station Group master control move to encompass digital media, the merge of KTRK IT and traditional engineering into the broadcast technology department and numerous station systems installations. 

Prior to KTRK, she was manager of advanced news systems at ABC’ Los Angeles O&O, KABC, , from 2006 to 2011. During her time there she was the lead technology engineer and project manager establishing connectivity to the Disney network in 30 live trucks. She developed and implemented an IP network in each live truck which allowed each truck to access and move content to KABC from the field.

Before joining KABC, Graham worked for two other ABC owned stations. She worked at WTVD Raleigh-Durham, N.C., as an assistant IT manager from 1999 to 2006. Before that, she was employed at KFSN Fresno, Calif.; first as a staff engineer and later as an IT manager.

Prior to joining the ABC Owned Station Group, Graham began her career as an intern at KTWU Topeka, Kan., and then as staff engineer at KLDH Topeka from 1983 to 1986.
