ABC-TV Gets New Affil In Sherman-Ada

The network's 237th affiliate is Lockwood Broadcast Group's KTEN Sherman, Texas-Ada, Okla., which will air the ABC schedule on its ch. 10.3.

Lockwood Broadcast Group and the ABC Television Network have reached an affiliation agreement to offer the full ABC Television Network programming schedule in the Sherman, Texas-Ada, Okla., market, over Lockwood’s KTEN digital ch. 10.3.

Additionally, as part of the agreement, ABC Texoma will produce local news coverage for the market. The channel is set to launch in May 2010.

To date, the market has been served by out-of-market broadcasts from surrounding ABC affiliates.

With the addition of this new station, ABC will have a total of 237 affiliates, which includes 10 owned stations.

In addition to KTEN, Lockwood Broadcast Group owns WQCW (CW) in Charleston/Huntington, W.Va., and WHDF (CW) in Huntsville, Ala.
