Allbritton Names Joe DeFeo News Channel 8 ND
Joe DeFeo will become the news director for Albritton Communications’ Washington cable news channel News Channel 8. He will start on July 25.
DeFeo has spent more than 30 years working in the Washington region as a manager, producer, award-winning journalist and audience development specialist. He spent seven years as the VP for news for the Sinclair Broadcast Group; and worked as for more than nine years as the news director of WBFF Baltimore.
In Washington, Allbritton also owns ABC affiliate WJLA and the political newspaper and website Politico and Politico.com.
