BCCA Sets Media Credit Seminar For July 19

BCCA, the media industry’s credit association, has scheduled a full-day seminar focusing on credit-related issues for the media industry, including its magazine, newspaper, television, radio, cable, outdoor and emerging media segments.  The BCCA Media Credit Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, July 19, in Chicago.

Among the topics slated for discussion during the full-day event are: Credit Scoring, EMCAPP (Electronic Media Credit Application) — an industry initiative led by BCCA and MFM; Credit & Collections Benchmarking; Digital Receivables Management; the Changing Face of Bankruptcy; Improving the Media-Agency Relationship; How Digital Affects the Credit Decision; and a “Hot Topics” Roundtable.

In addition to the formal sessions, the event will serve as an opportunity for media credit professionals and executives from across the country to come together and share ideas and best practices for the changing media credit and collections function.

The seminar will also feature an exhibit hall allowing companies and organization that support the industry’s credit and collections programs to provide updates on their products and services.

Already confirmed event sponsors include Szabo Associates which is underwriting the seminar luncheon.

“Response to last year’s inaugural Chicago event was so positive that we knew we had to continue providing this unique forum for media industry credit professionals,” said Mary M. Collins, president-CEO of BCCA and MFM, the Media Financial Management Association. “The topics discussed at this seminar are those that directly impact media companies’ financial performance.”
