CBS Drops Suit Against ABC for ‘Glass House’

But CBS says it will continue to pursue its claims against top producers of the low-rated reality show, saying they violated confidentiality agreements by going to work on the new series that debuted in June. The season finale is scheduled for Monday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — CBS has dropped its lawsuit against ABC over its reality series “The Glass House,” citing the show’s low viewership numbers as a reason it is no longer interested in the case.

CBS says it will continue to pursue its claims against top “Glass House” producers, saying they violated confidentiality agreements by going to work on the new series that debuted in June. The season finale is scheduled for Monday.

About 1.6 million viewers tuned in to the Aug. 6 episode.

CBS announced the dismissal of the suit with a statement saying “viewers have spoken and delivered the ultimate form of justice.”

BRAND CONNECTIONS

CBS sued ABC in May seeking to block “Glass House,” saying it copied its series “Big Brother” too closely. A judge refused to block it from airing.
