CBS Stations Names Alan Clack Western Sales SVP

Veteran CBS television sales executive Alan S. Clack has been named senior vice president, Western Region Sales, for the CBS Television Stations group.

Clack, who has been a member of the CBS sales team for 25 years and has been VP of sales at WCBS, the company’s New York flagship, since 2005, will report to Jim Sullivan, president, sales, CBS Television Stations, and will be responsible for overseeing the station group’s national sales offices in the western half of the country.

In addition, he will work closely with the local sales teams at the CBS stations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Denver and Sacramento.

He will also help to drive revenue growth by collaborating with other CBS Local Media properties on the West Coast, including CBS Radio stations and the company’s combined local digital properties, and by developing new business opportunities provided by EcoMedia, CBS Corp.’s environmental media unit, and the station group’s health solutions and community partnership sales verticals.

Bob Kaplan, SVP, Eastern Region Sales, CBS Television Stations, will continue to oversee the group’s national sales offices in the eastern United States and work with the local sales teams at the company’s CBS stations in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

Clack is an alumnus of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.
