CTD Ups Greg Guenther To SVP, Midwest

Greg Guenther today was promoted to senior vice president, Midwest regional sales manager, at CBS Television Distribution.

Guenther had been VP, Midwest regional manager, since 2010. In his position, Guenther will oversee all sales activity in the Chicago office and be responsible for selling to the major broadcasting groups in the Midwest territory, including Tribune, Local TV, Weigel, Newport and Barrington Broadcasting.

Guenther has been with CTD for 15 years, starting as a runner at the company’s syndicated newsmagazine Inside Edition and working his way up to coordinating producer, before switching to sales in August 2002 as an account executive in Chicago. He quickly rose through the ranks to Central Division manager in 2008 and VP, Midwest regional manager in 2010.

Guenther graduated from Marietta College in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in history.
