Dan Carlin Promoted At Fox’s NYC Duopoly

He will oversee creative services and public affairs departments, in addition to programming and research at WNYW-WWOR.

Dan Carlin today was promoted at the Fox duopoly pf WNYW (Fox) and WWOR (MNT) New York (DMA 1). He adds VP of creative services and public affairs to his current title of VP of programming and research.

Effective Sept. 8 and reporting directly to Lew Leone, WNYW-WWOR VP-GM, Carlin will oversee all programming, research, creative services and public affairs needs of the stations.

In making the announcement, Leone stated, “Dan is an incredible resource for our stations. His market knowledge and program and audience research acumen, as well as his strategic vision are second to none. I am thrilled to announce this well-deserved promotion.”

Since 2001, Carlin has been VP of programming and research for the two stations. Prior to that, he was the director of programming, research and creative services for WWOR. Carlin joined WWOR in 1992 as research manager and was promoted to director or research in 1994. He began his career at Katz Communications.

Carlin is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in general studies with an emphasis in communication.
