Dennis Bianchi Named GM Of Philly’s WTXF

He moves from VP-GM of NBC’s WCAU Philadelphia’s to top spot at the market’s Fox O&O.

Dennis Bianchi today was named vice president and general manager of Fox O&O WTXF Philadelphia (DMA 4). He replaces Patrick Paolini, who was promoted to senior vice president at Fox Stations Sales.

Effective Wednesday Feb. 1, Bianchi will oversee all editorial, business and administrative functions for WTXF, and will also have additional responsibilities to be announced in the coming months.

Bianchi joins the station from cross-town rival WCAU, the market’s NBC-owned station, where he was president and general manager. There, in addition to running WCAU, he oversaw NBC Philadelphia Nonstop, the around-the-clock local information and lifestyle channel, as well as NBCPhiladelphia.com.

Prior to that, he was chief quality officer for NBC in New York, where he headed the company’s Six Sigma Quality initiative. Earlier in his career, Bianchi was VP of finance and later chief financial officer for NBC Asia based in Hong Kong.

Bianchi holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Boston College.
