‘Divorce Court’ Renewed Through 2016-17

The Twentieth Television-distributed syndicated show hosted by Lynn Toler delivered its highest February sweep since 2010.

Twentieth Television and the Fox Television Stations today announced that Divorce Court has been renewed through the 2016-17 season. Divorce Court, which is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary season, is also set to return on stations owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.

During the recent February sweep, Divorce Court hit a four-season ratings high; rising 38% versus the comparable sweeps month a year ago (1.8 household rating vs a 1.3). Additionally during this  sweeps month, the long-running court program hit a seven-year viewer high — averaging nearly 3 million viewers per episode —  marking a 49% increase over a year ago.

Regarding the announcement, Stephen Brown, EVP of development and programming of the Fox Television Stations, said: “In the current landscape where many shows have declining ratings, we are thrilled to have a long-running program on an opposite trajectory. Renewing the series was an easy decision to make.”

Television’s longest-running court show Divorce Court, is presided over by Lynn Toler, who has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of law. It is produced by Lincolnwood Drive Inc.
