Don Pratt To Lead Fisher Boise Duopoly

The company promotes the news director of its Portland, Ore., ABC affiliate to VP-general manager of its KBOI (CBS) and KYUU (CW) in Idaho.

Fisher Communications  on Wednesday promoted Don Pratt to vice president-general manager of KBOI (CBS) and KYUU (CW) Boise, Idaho (DMA 112).

Pratt joins the stations from KATU, Fisher’s ABC affiliate in Portland, Ore., where he has been VP-news director since 2006. His past experience includes the positions of assistant news director at WHDH Boston; news director at WCSC Charleston, S.C.; and executive producer at KGO San Francisco.

“We’ve been very pleased with Don’s performance at KATU, where he took our news product to its next level, establishing the strongest news brand in the market,” said John Tamerlano, SVP of Fisher Regional Television and general manager of KATU.

Pratt is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and received his master’s degree from Emerson College in Boston.
