Eno To Lead Gannett, Debmar Program Push

As VP of development, former TLC executive Stephanie Eno will find and guide the development of interactive projects for producing, testing and national syndication at the new partnership.

Gannett Broadcasting and Debmar-Mercury today named television executive and executive producer Stephanie Eno as vice president of development for their recently formed programming partnership. Eno’s television career encompasses executive producing, creative and production roles at networks, and spans programming/content partnerships for both traditional and digital media. She will search out projects with an interactive bent and lead their development.

Eno, working from Lionsgate-owned Debmar-Mercury’s offices in Santa Monica, joins the programming partnership from TLC. She was an executive producer and senior director of programming there from 2011 to 2014, after joining four years earlier as director of programming.

At TLC, she oversaw the production of current and new series, specials and events, including the majority of TLC’s hallmark wedding programming. Additionally, she identified and executed opportunities for digital content to foster a deeper connection between the on-air and online audience.

The partnership will produce and test programming of varying lengths and genres throughout the year, with selected series entering national syndication. Gannett will leverage its stations’ robust digital presence, including mobile, to engage the viewing audience with a strong interactive element.

“We are excited to welcome Stephanie to lead this one-of-a-kind partnership between Gannett Broadcasting and Debmar-Mercury,” said Dave Lougee, president of Gannett Broadcasting. “Working together with the Debmar-Mercury team, we are well positioned to create innovative, truly interactive, quality first-run programming that can meet the needs of our stations across dayparts well into the future.”

Prior to TLC, Eno was director of current series for The Style Network, where she was heavily involved in the production of signature series, including How Do I Look?, Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? and The Look for Less. She also developed and managed content partnerships that resulted in successful programming.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Previously, Eno rose through the ranks to become VP, programming and production at Fine Living Network in 2005. After serving as a freelance producer, she joined the network as a programming manager in 2001. Participating in its launch, Eno quickly became director of programming/production the following year. During her tenure, she developed a network strategic plan and oversaw the development/production of numerous series and content partnerships.

With the programming partnership, Debmar-Mercury, a leading media company behind hit 10/90 sitcoms, talk and game shows, gains distribution for its series from a top-tier broadcaster. Gannett Broadcasting operates the largest independent television station group of major network affiliates in the top 25 U.S. television markets, excluding owner-operators.  It is both the No. 1 one NBC and CBS affiliate group, with stations covering nearly a third of the country.
