Entertainment Studios Names JD Black Digital SVP

Entertainment Studios Inc. today appointed former Sony veteran JD Black as senior vice president, global digital marketing.

Black brings more than 19 years of marketing experience to his new role, where he will oversee digital marketing, creative strategy, social media, promotions, research, analytics, email marketing and customer relationship management for the entire Entertainment Studios portfolio of media assets, including the company’s global content platform, SmartTV.com.

Prior to joining Entertainment Studios, Black was SVP, marketing at Sony Pictures Interactive and spent 15 years at the studio working on digital campaigns and strategy across film, television, and home entertainment properties. Black also oversaw the management of the Sony Pictures brand across digital platforms.
