‘Family Feud’ on a Record Ratings Roll

Ratings for the Steve Harvey hosted game show continue to surge, setting new record highs in three of the past four weeks. Feud has already surpassed Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy in several key demos.

Family Feud with Steve Harvey has achieved its third record rating in the past four weeks, this time a 7.2 household rating for the week ending Feb. 1, according to Nielsen.

That 7.2 rating is an increase of 14% from the show’s year-ago rating and it’s up 6% from Feud’s previous all-time high 6.8 rating the week ending Jan. 25.

Among women 25-54, Family Feud had a 3.8 rating the week ending Feb. 1, ahead of CBS Television Distribution’s Wheel Of Fortune (2.6) and Jeopardy (2.5). Feud also ranked No. 1 among game shows in the adults 25-54 demographic with a 3.1 rating to Jeopardy’s 2.3and Wheel’s 2.2.

“In an environment where it is tough to sustain, let alone improve a show’s ratings, the success of Family Feud since 2010 is nothing short of incredible,” said Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, co-presidents of distributor Debmar-Mercury, in a statement. “We have been in this business a long time and have never seen a sustained growth curve like this, especially for a show that has been around for decades.”

FremantleMedia North America produces Family Feud.
