Former WABC Sales Exec Jack Kirk Dies At 89
John “Jack” Kirk, a longtime television sales executive at ABC O&O WABC New York, has died at his home in Garden City, N.Y. He was 89.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y, on Dec. 3, 1921, Jack Kirk was a sales executive at WABC from 1956 to 1985. He held both sales management and account executive positions. He witnessed the growth of a low-performing station to the firmly established market leader.
He is survived by his wife, Florence and three children: Nancy (Kirk) Smith of Windermere, Fla.; Philip Kirk of Sea Cliff, N.Y.; and John Kirk Jr. of Basking Ridge, N.J.
