Fox News Channel’s Nancy Harmeyer today was promoted to vice president of domestic bureaus, while Greg Headen has been upped to director of the foreign desk.

Harmeyer will also continue as the Los Angeles bureau chief. She and Headen will report to Mike Shapiro, VP of news coverage, who will continue overseeing the New York and Boston bureaus as well as the National Desk. Jay Wallace, president of news for the network, oversees the network’s largest bureau in Washington.

In making the announcement, Wallace said, “Nancy’s leadership and news gathering expertise has made her an integral part of the news gathering team and we’re excited for her to take on this new role, streamlining communication and resources across our domestic bureaus.”

Wallace continued, “As foreign desk manager, Greg has become an expert in our field operations across all our international bureaus, making him the ideal candidate to oversee global reach. These moves will bring added consistency to the editorial, administration and production across all of our bureaus.”

In addition to continuing as Los Angeles bureau chief, Harmeyer will also now oversee all of the network’s domestic bureaus including Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco. Previously, she has also served as FNC’s Miami bureau chief, as well as a White House producer and an associate producer throughout her tenure with the network.

As director of the Foreign Desk, Headen will now oversee the London and Jerusalem desks. He joined the network in 1996 and has previously served as the Miami bureau chief and most recently as foreign desk manager.
