GM Holroyd Retiring From KAYU, KFFX-KCYU
Doug Holroyd is retiring as general manager of Northwest Broadcasting’s KAYU Spokane, Wash., and KFFX-KCYU Yakima-Pasco, Wash., at the end of this month, and will be replaced by the head of sales for Northwest’s Washington cluster, David Lockhert.
Holroyd’s retirement brings to an end his more than 50 years in the entertainment business, including the last 22 in station management. Prior to joining Northwest in January 2012, he worked 17 years for Sainte Television, launching seven stations for the small-market TV group in that time.
Lockhert returned to Spokane to work at Northwest after several years in noncommercial television, seeking underwriting for such programs as Infinite Voyage, Mr. Rogers and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego and TVOntario.

Congrats to Doug- one of the good guys in TV history. In addition to his outstanding career in broadcasting, he is an accomplished guitar player, who played with many of the great ones, including Three Dog Night. Good Luck!
