Hot Week For ‘Hot Bench’ In Syndie Ratings

The freshman court show has its best week since May despite being in reruns in the week ending Aug. 9. The only talk show moving up week to week was The Doctors, which gained a healthy 11%.

Hot Bench was the hottest syndicated show in the session ending Aug. 9, matching its series high with an 11% surge to a 2.1 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, its strongest tally since the week of May 11.

Created by Judge Judy Sheindlin, the rookie gaveler was easily the second-highest-rated court show and the fourth-highest-rated daytime strip in syndication overall despite being in reruns on all five days.

Judge Judy, also in repeats, continued to outperform all of syndication for the seventh straight week with a 6.5.

The only talk show moving up week to week was The Doctors, which gained a healthy 11% to a 1.1 with previously aired episodes.
