Hupfeld Named London Broadcasting CFO

Matthew Hupfeld, the former finance chief at Newport Television, will succeed Carl Kornmeyer who becomes chief operating officer of London’s LBK Entertainment

London Broadcasting Co. the owner and operator of Texas-based media properties, announced today that Matthew C. Hupfeld will join the company as vice president and chief financial officer effective July 15.

Hupfeld has extensive broadcast experience and is currently CFO-VP of finance at Newport Television, which is currently completing the approximate $1.1 billion sale of its 50 TV stations. Prior to Newport Television, Hupfeld was divisional CFO and VP of finance at Clear Channel Television.

With the addition of Hupfeld to the LBC management team, Carl Kornmeyer, LBC’s EVP-CFO, will move to a full-time role as VP-COO of LBK Entertainment, LBC’s music and video content group. LBK’s music group is composed of BE Music & Entertainment and Artist Management Partners.  The music group creates and owns music-related content and focuses on artist development, management, publishing, recording and event marketing. LBK’s 41 Entertainment is a television production company focused on original programming for music entertainment and outdoor lifestyle.
