Jeff Andrews Named Meteorologist At WKBT

WKBT (News 8 Now) announced in a press release that meteorologist Jeff Andrews is joining its morning and noon newscasts. He’ll work alongside anchor Alexandra Carter on both shows.

A veteran meteorologist, Andrews arrives from Peoria, Ill., where he covered morning and noon weather. Andrews has Wisconsin roots, originally hailing from the Madison area.

“It feels great to be back in Wisconsin,” said Andrews. “I love this part of the state and the weather. I’m looking forward to being a part of the people’s mornings in the Coulee region and helping them get going.”

“Jeff brings some excellent experience to important newscasts,” said Jason Walker, News 8 Now News Director. “That early morning forecast is vital to letting our viewers plan their morning, and at Noon, it lets them know what to expect on the drive home. He’ll be a perfect complement to Alexandra.”

Andrews likes to spend his free time with his cats, Sonny and Janice, hitting the gym and seeking out new restaurants and brewpubs. His first day on News 8 Now This Morning will be Monday, December 18th.
