Kingsley Smith Named KTTV News Director

The news director at Fox’s WTXF Philadelphia is moving to Los Angeles to succeed Jose Rios.

Kingsley Smith has been named vice president and news director of Fox O&O KTTV Los Angeles. Previously, Smith spent 15 years with KDFW Dallas where he began as a producer and executive producer of the station’s news division, and was later promoted to assistant news director. Prior to KDFW, he was a producer at WAVY Portsmouth-Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Va., and producer and executive producer at KETK Tyler, Texas.

A graduate of the University of the Texas in Tyler, Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.
