KSTS Named Spanish TV Of S.F. Giants

NBC-owned Telemundo affiliate KSTS San Francisco (DMA 6) has been named the official Spanish television partner of the San Francisco Giants.

As part of the new partnership, KSTS will produce a half-hour local sports show dedicated to the Giants franchise. The show will be hosted by long time Giants Spanish announcers Erwin Higueros and Telemundo’s sports anchor Juan Francisco Ramirez.

In addition, both organizations will work together to produce Fiesta Gigantes, a celebration to honor the Hispanic heritage of the franchise and the city of San Francisco.

“Telemundo 48-KSTS is proud to establish this partnership with the 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants, providing the local Hispanic community with a new way to engage with the organization and athletes,” said Erika Diaz, KSTS station manager.

“The Giants value the support of the Bay Area Hispanic community and believe that our partnership with Telemundo 48-KSTS will allow us to strengthen our relationship with our Hispanic fans and the viewers of KSTS,” said Jason Pearl, managing vice president, Giants sponsorship and new business development.
