Kuglin To Lead Fisher Interactive Network

Jenny Kuglin will oversee Fisher's news websites as well as more than 120 hyperlocal neighborhood websites in five markets.

Fisher Communications on Tuesday promoted Jenny Kuglin to general manager of Fisher Interactive Network (FIN). In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and implementing Fisher’s digital strategy. FIN produces Fisher’s news websites as well as more than 120 hyperlocal neighborhood websites in five markets.

“Jenny demonstrates leadership in developing talent and teamwork within FIN and exhibits a solid understanding of the financial aspects of this evolving business,” said Randa Minkarah, SVP of revenue and business development for Fisher Communications. “Under her leadership, FIN has exceeded its content growth targets and continues to excel in site development. Jenny has shown a keen understanding of changing technologies along with the challenges and opportunities for news and local content sites.”

Kuglin assumes this new role after serving as the general manager of content and social media for FIN since October 2011. In early 2011, she was given responsibility over content and new site creation.

Kuglin joined FIN in September of 2010 as director of social media. She formerly was news director at KVAL, Fisher’s CBS affiliate in Eugene, Ore. Prior to joining Fisher, Kuglin was the executive producer of Northwest Cable News. She has also been news director of KECI Missoula, Mont.

Kuglin is a graduate of the University of Montana and holds a bachelor’s degree in television production.
