Latifah Ends Week 1 With ‘Solid’ 1.5 Rating

The household rating for Sony's Queen Latifah was up 15% from its year-ago time slot average and up 7% from its lead-in, according to Nielsen. Syndication's other big daytime newcomer Bethenny has not fare as well.

Queen Latifah from Sony Pictures Television got off to a solid start in broadcast syndication last week, while daytime TV’s other rookie, Bethenny from Warner Bros., generated modest ratings in its second week.

Queen Latifah had a 1.5 household rating and 4 share, up 15% from its year-ago time slots average and up 7% from its lead-in, based on Nielsen metered-market ratings, not counting secondary runs.

Among women 25-54, it had a 0.8/5, up 60% from a year ago and up 60% from its lead in.

On WCBS New York, it had a 2.2/8, up 57% from a year ago. Among women 25-54, it was up 120% in the No. 1 DMA.

On KCBS Los Angeles, Queen had a 1.1/4, up 22%. It was up 100% among women 25-54.

Meantime, the two-week average for Bethenny was a 1.0/3, down 17% from last year and down 23% from its lead-in average. Among women 25-54, it had a 0.7/5, up 17% from its time-slots average and flat to its lead in.
